We are no longer accepting donations on this campaign, but there are other ways for you to support us today!
The donation period for Summer Together 2019 is now over. Thank you to the many donors and supporters of this program, which subsidizes free family pool memberships and week-long camp options for local families in need of economic assistance. We have exceeded our expectations and will publicize our results shortly, but please know that hundreds of children and dozens of Port families will be experiencing a fun and enriching summer thanks to your efforts!
Summer Together is organized by Long Island Together (LIT), a group of community activists working to improve access to educational and enrichment opportunities for children, among other social justice causes. Our partner the Parent Resource Center serves as Summer Together’s nonprofit fiscal agent. Supporting organizations include The Community Synagogue Social Action Committee, Littig House, Our Lady of Fatima Social Outreach, Padres en Accion Asociacion, Reconstructionist Synagogue of the North Shore, St. Peter of Alcantara Social Ministry, St. Stephen’s Church Outreach Ministry, Temple Beth Israel Social Action Committee and the United Methodist Church PW.

In 2018, 57 children experienced one week of local summer camp and 19 families enjoyed seasonal family pool memberships at Manorhaven Park thanks to a new program called Summer Together. In summer 2019 we hope to exceed those results … with your help!
Each $250 donation funds one child for one week of camp or one family's summer at the pool. Your donation of ANY amount will help ensure Port's children and families can experience an enriching summer.
Please donate by Monday April 1 so we may meet camp and pool registration deadlines.
If you prefer to mail a check, please make it payable to our 501(c)(3) nonprofit partner: "Parent Resource Center"
with memo line: "Summer Together"
and mail to:
